Range rules

  • Eye and ear protection is required at all times past the “Range Entrance” door.
  • Keep all firearms inside your assigned stalls: if in a group or sharing firearms, switch out shooters and targets and leave the gun in the stall.
  • Keep the muzzle of all firearms pointed downrange towards targets at all times.
  • Keep your finger outside of the triggerguard and away from the trigger until your sights are aligned on target and you have decided to take the shot.
  • There is no rapid fire on our ranges, to include ‘doubletaps’ and ‘failure drills’.  No shooting faster than 1 shot per second, ensuring that all shots impact the target and the backstop, not the floors, walls or ceilings.
  • There is a minimum target distance of 20’, marked on each range, in order to maintain impacts into the backstop.
  • If you have a problem with your firearm or the range, leave the gun inside the stall facing safely downrange and ask a staff member for assistance.  DO NOT take a problem firearm off the shooting line or into the showroom.
  • Ensure that your firearms are safely cased, or locked open and clear before leaving the shooting range and entering the showroom.
  • No persons are permitted to go forward of the shooting stalls except under the specific direction and guidance of a Range Officer.
  • While on the range, you are responsible for any damages that you may inflict to the range facility, including damage to the target carriers, floors, walls, ceilings, baffles or range stalls.

Range Officers are here for your assistance and to help provide guidance while on the range. YOU, the shooter, are responsible for your own safety and the safety of any guests under your care. If at any time you have a question, or feel uncomfortable with the handling of your firearm or with any other patron's actions it is your responsibility to advise a Range Officer so that they may lend assistance. Be aware that Range Officers have absolute authority on the range. The rules as outlined above are posted in numerous locations throughout the range and shop, and are recited to EVERY patron going back to the range. The Range Officers will politely remind guests of any infractions, but may take action up to and including dismissal for repeated or willful disregard of the safety rules and practices.
